Lebanese Front
TEL AVIV (JTA) —
Security sources said
that there is no indication
that terrorist units have
re-entered areas of
southeastern Lebanon
from which they could
menace Israel. Heavily
reinforced Israeli units,
however, continue to
guard the Lebanese bor-
der from the Mediterra-
nean coast to the slopes of
Mt. Hermon.
An alert was issued last
Friday following reports
from Beirut that the Sy-
rians were moving Pales-
tinians from camps near
Tripoli in northern Leba-
non to the border region
in the south once known
as Fatahland.
They have claimed they
are moving the Palesti-
nians into the southern
Lebanese enclaves to
facilitate surveillance of
their activities which was
difficult in refugee camps
in the north.
The terrorists have
been allowed to carry
their personal arms with
them.
Elizabeth Taylor
on Honeymoon
JERUSALEM (JTA) —
Actress Elizabeth Taylor
and her newly-wed sixth
husband, former U.S.
Secretary of the Navy
John W. Warner, recently
left.Israel after their stay
as guests of the Jewish
National Fund.
They planted trees in
the U.S. Bicentennial
Forest at Nes Harim near
Jerusalem as swarms of
reporters, photographers
and TV camera crews re-
corded the event.
The couple was greeted
by Premier Yitzhak
Rabin at his office and
lunched with JNF chair-
man Yaacov Tiur. They
also visited the Western
Wall where Ms. Taylor
whispered a prayer. The
actress converted to
,Judaism years ago
