'Dinitz Is Under Kissinger's Thumb'

WASHINGTON (ZINS)
— The Washington corre-
spondent of the Israeli
newspaper Ha'aretz
writes that Israeli Am-
bassador Simha Dinitz
established good rela-
tionships with the Jewish
communities and their
leaders, but he is too op-
timistic in his evalua-
tions and has too little
courage to fight against
the politics of the State
Department.

The main complaint of
Dinitz critics is- in fact
about his strong friend-
ship with Kissinger.

Begin Accuses
Henry Kissinger

TEL AVIV (ZINS) — In
a recent article in the Is-
raeli newspaper, Ma'ariv,
Menahem Begin stated:
"A sure and reliable
source recently told me,
that in a meeting with an
Arab leader, Dr. Kis-
singer said, 'Ford will be
elected without the
Jewish vote and then we
will settle our account
with Israel.' "
Begin wrote the article
in response to Rabin's
statement that he will re-
call Kissinger's term of
office with nostalgia.
