chairman of the day. Mrs.
Steven Victor is special
assistant to Ms: Mandel
and Mrs. Sidney Jacobs is
supply coordinator.
There is a charge for the
sessions.

Melody Musicale
to Have Program

Melody Musicale will
meet 8 p.m. Wednesday in
the home of Elinor Strum,
25160 Prairie, Southfield.
Dorothy Cohn will de-
monstrate rock to bal-
lroom dancing and there
will be a musical program
by Louise Lazarus and
Shirley Frost, accom-
panied by Treva DeJong.

The United Order of
True Sisters, Detroit
Chapter 41, has donated
$1,500 to William Beaum-
ont Hospital for its speech
rehabilitation program.
Mrs. Philip Pollak, pres-
ident, and Mrs. Al Ten-
nenhouse presented the
money to Dr. Michael I.
Rolnick, director of
Beaumont's Speech and
Language Pathology De-
partment.
Dr. Rolnick said the
money will be used for the
laryngectomee speech
rehabilitation program.
A laryngectomee is a per-
son who has had his voice
box removed because of
cancer.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles C.
Dean of Greenfield Rd.,
Southfield, announce the
engagement of their
daughter, Carol Dean, to
Michael Kromirs, son of
Mrs. Betty Gelman of
Manistee Ave., Oak Park,
and the late Mr. Leonard
Kromirs. Miss Dean was
graduated from Wayne
State University with a
BS degree in education
and Eastern Michigan
University with an MA
degree in education. Her
fiance is pursuing a law
degree at Wayne State
University's law school. A
December wedding is
planned

25th settlement on the
Heights, was inaugu-
rated in the presence of
thousands of kibutz
members, Housing Minis-
ter Avraham Ofer and
Jewish Agency and
Mapam leaders.
G--Shor, the name of the
kibutz, is Mapam's 76th
kibutz. •

Nathan Peled, secre-

sponsored Hakibbutz
Haartzi movement, said
at the inauguration of the
settlement that Mapam
has decided to participate
in the creation of a de
fense belt on the Golan
Heights to protect the
settlements in northern
Israel.
It was announced that
Hakibbutz Haartzi will
develop another kibutz
soon on the Heights near
G-Shor.
