Israelis Uncover Terrorist Cells

TEL AVIV (JTA) — Is-
raeli security forces un-
covered two El Fatah ter-
rorist cells in the Judea
region. One cell was ac-
tive in a village near
Bethlehem and the other
near Hebron.
Thirty-eight suspected
terrorists were detained

and large quantities of
arms, hand grenades and
explosives were found in
their possession. The cells
are believed responsible
for several acts of sabot-
age, including the launch-
ing of Katyusha rockets
at Kiryat Arba earlier
this year.

Weinberg has been a
member of AIPAC's
Executive Committee.
As director of the
Jewish Federation Coun-
cil and member of the
Community Relations
Council of Los Angeles,
Weinberg is involved in
local and national civic
organizations. He is vice
president of Brandeis
Camp Institute and was
co-chairman of the Un-
ited Jewish Welfare Fund
Drive for several years.
He is also a member of the
Democratic National
Committee.
