Youth Fund Set
at Temple Israel

Mr. and Mrs. Louis
Goodman, charter mem-
bers of Temple Israel,
have established a youth
scholarship fund at the
temple in memory of their
son Bernard.
The funds are available
for any of Temple Israel's
youth activities.

Oscar Lassar (1849-
1907), a German Jewish
dermatologist, was re-
sponsible for the intro-
duction of electrophysical
therapy in dermatology.
He also developed the so-
called Lassar paste,
which until the discovery
of cortisone ointments,
was the most widely used
unguant for all types of
skin diseases, and is still
in use.
