Arab Terrorists
Captured at Sea

TEL AVIV (JTA) — The
12 Arab terrorists cap-
tured at sea Saturday
outside Lebanese territo-
rial waters are members
of the Popular Democra-
tic Front for the Libera-
tion of Palestine.
Three boats were inter-
cepted by Israeli naval-
units. One of the boats
was sunk after attempt-
ing to flee.
It was also learned that
the boats sailed from Si-
don, a port in Southern
Lebanon. Sidon and Tyre,
further north, are still in
terrorist hands and have
been used in the past for
sea-borne incursions
against Israel. The ter-
rorists are believed to
have been on a sabotage
mission when they were
captured. A quantity of
explosives, bazookas,
submachineguns, rifles
and sabotage equipment
were found in the cap-
tured boats. The Palesti-
nian news agency WAFA
claimed that Israeli
forces intervened in a
fight between Moslem
and Christian boats.
Meanwhile, police are
investigating three explo-
sions in Hebron on Mon-
day that caused slight
damage but no casualties.
The first occurred in the
morning near the labor-ex-
change office.
A short time later there
was an explosion near a
restaurant owned by a
Kiryat Arba resident.
Several hours afterwards
the third explosion occur-
red near the local com-
munications office.
An armed terrorist who
headed the wanted list for
years, was killed Monday
in a clash with an Israeli
unit near Tura village in
the Hebron area.
The terrorist, identified
as Khalil Abdallah Mous-
taffa Awad, 39, alias Abu
Ali, was engaged in sub-
versive activities and bus
attacks in the Dora and
southern Mt. Hebron reg-
ions for several years, an
