MONTREAL (JTA) —
A spectacular rise in
trade between Canada
and Israel was reported
by Ray Wolfe, president
of the Canada-Israel
Chamber of Commerce at
the Chamber's annual
meeting in Montreal.
He told the 300 mem-
bers attending the meet-
ing that trade between
the two countries rose to
$96 million in 1975 from
$74 million in 1974. Dur-
ing the first six months of
1976, the volume of
Canadian-Israel trade
was $49 million, Wolfe
said.

KIM Envoy in Chile Is Blasted
for Anne Frank House Critique
AMSTERDAM (JTA)-
The Council of the Dutch
Aviation Company, KLM,
has issued a protest
against the action of the
KLM representative in
Chile for criticizing an
exhibition at the Anne
Frank house here which
denounces the Chilean
regime for being fascist.
Chilean tourists who
visited the house com-
plained about the exhibi-
tion and KLM, which
sponsors a tour to the
site, was asked to issue a
statement.
The KLM representa-
tive in Chile wrote that
the Anne Frank House is
Currently used as "a polit-
ical instrument against
the present Chilean gov-
ernment and is offensive
to the Chileans, including
the Chilean Jews who live
in a country where no re-
strictions or problems
exist in the fields of race
and religion."
He advised KLM to
eliminate the house from
its list of tourist attrac-
tions in Holland.
The KLM Council,
which is comprised of rep-
resentatives of all KLM
personnel, is demanding
that the KLM Directo-
man of the Bank Hapoalim
in Tel Aviv who was guest
speaker at the Chamber's
dinner, announced the
opening of a branch of his
bank in Toronto.

Lubavitch Sends
Sukkot on Tour
NEW YORK (JTA) —
An estimated 75,000

kot created by , the
Lobavitcher movement
which were sent on tours
of 26 cities, according to
Rabbi Shmuel Butman,
director of the
Lubavitcher Youth Or-
ganization. He said the
organization rented
flatbed trucks and built a
sukka on each one, ad-
ding that they operated
only during the interven-
ing five days of the week-
long holiday.
In Michigan, the

sent a sukka-mobile to

treux that unless there
was closer financial coop-
eration between the Arab
world and Western
Europe there would be fi-
nancial chaos.
Arab world develop-
