NEW YORK — The
American Jewish Con-
gress is launching a new
weekly English-language
radio program dealing
with the expression of
Jewish identity among
young people. The prog-
ram, which will be called
"Yedid Nefesh" ("friend
of my soul"), will debut 10
p.m. Nov. 7 on WEVD-FM
(97.9) in New York.
"Yedid Nefesh" will be
produced and hosted by
Robert Cohen, writer,
editor, and member of the
National Commission on
Jewish Youth of the
American Jewish Con-
gress, under the auspices
of the Martin Steinberg
Cultural Center of the

gress, and in cooperation
with WEVD.
The first four programs
will focus on the spiritual
searching of young Jews
in the 70's. The premier
