The community is invited at a nominal charge. On Oct. 29, there will be a panel discussion on "Politics 1976 — What Comes Next?". Panelists will include Leonard Meizlish, Ellis Perlman and Mitchell Weiss. The discussion will follow 8 p.m. Shabat services. Prof to Speak at Bonds Event Women Will Attend Detroit Book Fair Drawing to be held Saturday, October 30, 1976 I The Bnai Brith Flint Lodge 656, with the sup- port of the Women's Chapter will sponsor the Flint 1976 Israel Bond campaign and a tribute dinner, to be held 6:30 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Country Squire Restaurant, Flushing. Sonia Schafer will re- ceive the "Koah" award "for her dedication and devotion to her commun- ity and Israel and her un- tiring efforts on behalf of the State of Israel Bond program." Mrs. Schafer is past general chairman and present division chair- man of the Flint United Jewish Appeal, Women's Division. She is the 1975- 76 co-chairman of the Flint Jewish Community Council Cash Collections, Women's Division and a board member of FJCC. In 1975 she received an award at the FJCC annual dinner "for her outstand- ing efforts on behalf of the Flint UJA." She is active in Hadassah, the Beth Israel Sisterhood, Women's American ORT and the Women's Chapter of Flint Bnai Brith. Mrs. Schafter has been' a Flint resident since 1935, coming from Poland via Brazil.
