ALBERT VORSPAN

reminds us of the endur-
ing contribution of such
racious losers as Bryan,
W illkie, Goldwater, and
McGovern.
It is noteworthy that
Vorpsan does not offer a
diet of his own. Instead, he
recommends the "Dr.
George Ohsawa Macrobio-
tics Diet" and the "Dr.
Watkins I Presume
Nosher's Diet." The
Ohsawa diet excludes vit-
amin C from the cuisine.
Fruit is poison. The
Ohsawa experiments show
that "90 percent of the in-
dividuals who suffer from
excessive loss of hair, are
people who love fruit."
They, moreover, tend to
become "suspicious, jeal-
ous, fanciful, indecisive;
are easily chilled and
prone to heart ailments."
It is interesting to point
out that the "Dr. Watkins
I Presume Nosher's Diet"
excludes sweets and
breakfasts. For brunch,
among others, it recom-
mends chicken soup, 3
raisins and a bowl of Alpo.
Chicken soup-break in-
stead of coffee break is
suggested for 2 p.m., 3
p.m., and 4 p.m. However,
for 6 p.m., in addition to
chicken soup, the diet
provides roast stuffed
camel; and for 11 p.m. the
Dr. Watkins I Presume
Nosher's Diet recom-
mends "something light,
to sleep by, like chicken
soup, a large. salami
sandwich on a hard roll;
borsht and kasha (don't
mix them)."
This review would be
incomplete had it not in-
cluded a few of the Vor-
span truisms:
"The mind is an unbro-
ken horse." .
"The law of survival is
an I for an
