Nepal, Thailand, the
Philippines, Japan,
Korea, Canada, Australia
and New Zealand.
Ambassador Schmorak,
who joined the Ministry.
for Foreign Affairs in
Jerusalem in 1952, has
since occupied many re-
sponsible positions in that
branch of government
service. In addition to
serving as director of the
Foreign Claims Section
and head of the Soviet
Desk in the Eastern Euro-
pean Division, he worked
Israel. He was for a time a
political radio commen-
tator for Kol Israel.

The Ressler Galleries,
which was established in
Detroit in 1910, is dispos-
ing of its entire art collec-
tion at an auction 7 p.m.
Oct. 15 at 330 W. Tienken
Rd., Rochester.
The firm through the
years was located in the
Statler Hotel, in Grin-
nell's, on Cass Ave., and
on Livernois. The Liver-
nois gallery was closed
2 1/2 years ago.

The firm was founded by
the late Isadore Ressler,
who was a prominent artist
in Canada and Detroit,
well known for his Cana-
dian scenes and land-
scapes.
Born in Geneva, Swit-
zerland, Ressler settled
in Canada and lived there
29 years before coming to
Detroit. His Ressler Gal-
leries was continued by
his children.
The art resotration
work will be continued by
his son, Herb, who can be
reached at DI 1-2020.
