GRAPE STOMPING

The famous Hungarian Village
Restaurant has scheduled it's An-
nual Grape Festival October 12-
1 3 1 4 .
Located at 1001
Springwells Ave., Detroit, Michi-
gan at 1-75 freeway exit, it is
widely known for serving authen-
tic ethnic Hungarian foods,
among which are Hungarian Pap-
rikas, Beef Goulash, Stuffed
Cabbage, Transylvania Platter,
Stuffed Breast of Chicken, Hun-
garian Walnut Torte, Strudel of
various flavors and imported
Hungarian Wines and Liquors.
The grape stompers wear na-
tive costumes and perform their
annual "ritual of the grape har-
vest," nightly to the music of a six
piece native Gypsy Orchestra led
by Sanyika the famous Violin Im-
presario.
It is reported that three new
Qualified Girl Grape Stompers
have replaced those that were
fired for sitting down on the job.

mances will take place

15 at 10:45 a.m.; and Oct.
17 at 3:30 p.m.
The Oct. 15 concert is a
NBD Coffee Concert, pre-
sented in cooperation
with National Bank of
Detroit and offering com-
plimentary coffee start-
ing at 9:30. A short fash-
ion show will precede the
concert at 10:15.
