During his recent visit to Detroit, Benjamin Epstein, executive direc- tor of the Anti- Defamation League of Bnai Brith, discussed his views of the current situ, ation for Jews in the world. Epstein called the Un- ited Nations resolution equating Zionism with racism "one of the most horrible propaganda tricks of all time." He said the resolution destroyed the decade against racism program of the UN because the world rejected the charge against Zionism. Epstein said the UN has become the center for permissive anti-Semitism. Epstein expressed hope that Israel's concern for Lebanese civilians during the civil war in Lebanon will help dispel the centuries-old prejudices in the Middle East and be an added factor making a real peace possible.
