presented "in recognition of the District's most 'consis-
tent and successful program of education and activities
which projected Israel's image and created better un-
derstanding of Zionism by the American people." Shown
with Panush, chairman of the ZOD's public affairs com-
mittee, are, from left: Julian Cohen, ZOD treasurer; Dr.
Joseph Sternstein, president of the ZOA; and Leon
Ilutovich, executive director. Panush, who is past presi-
dent of the ZOD, was presented with the Jerusalem
Award for "outstanding achievement in membership
enrollment" at the recent ZOA convention in New York.

Panush presided over a workshop on ZOA educational
activities in Israel, and he and the following Detroiters
were elected to the ZOA's national executive committee:
Dr. Sidney Leib, Dr. Jack R. Greenberg, Dr. Joel Ham-
burger and Carmi Slomovitz, Philip Slomovitz was
elected honorary vice president and Richard Kramer
was elected a national vice president.
