Warning Issued

NEW YORK — Citing a
volatile situation in Latin
America, the president of
the Labor Zionist Al-
liance alerted American
.Jewry to this as well as
other challenges facing it
in the coming months.
Dr. Judah J. Shapiro
said thac the chaotic con-
ditions in Argentina since
March when the military
junta took over have re-
sulted in killings of hun-
dreds of people including
Jews; bombing of Jewish
synagogues; and the pub-
lishing of anti-Semitic lit-
erature.
In a talk before the
Labor Zionist leaders
from throughout the U.S.
arid Canada, Dr. Shapiro
called for the strengthen-
ing of the Labor Zionist
Alliance in order to make
it possible for his organi-
zation to continue to meet
the challenges and tasks
which the Jewish people
will face.
