and Speech Center, a Un-
ited Foundation Torch
Drive agency.

swimming, boating and a
weekly peanut hunt.

who directed or assisted
the •camp were Blanche
Hart, superintendent of
United Jewish Charities,
who was responsible for
the arrangements for the
camp; Edith Heavenrich,

Minnie Berman, Hattie
Gittleman and Hannah
Schloss. The women vol-
unteers were called
chaperones.
Levin recalled that
Eugene Sloman, great
uncle of patent attorney
Robert Sloman, came to
the camp regularly dis-
tributing cookies and
milk. Other friends of
camp included Chart
Goldstein, Harry
Brown, Ben Welling and
Harry Goldberg.

at the November event.
