New concept in personal luxury cars.

Rarely does a new car appear that's
so impressive it causes excitement
wherever it's seen. Toronado XSR
is that kind of car. A classic.
A new panoramic rear window
wraps around to form side windows
in one sweep of glass. Twin glass
panels are skylights in the roof;
touch a button, and they slide in-
board to create a convertible feeling.

But there's more. Toronado's
famous front-wheel drive
is now powered by a
new Rocket 403 V8,
equipped with a
totally electronic
spark timing system
different from that
in any other car.
A pre-programmed

microprocessor instantly and
continuously fine-tunes
performance to the needs
of the moment—whether
the engine is running
cold or warmed up,
celerating, decelerating,
or cruising! Both Toronado
XSR and Toronado Brougham
have this innovation.

Then there's the inner world of
Toronado. Ribbed velours. The
loose-cushion look. A divided front
seat. Center armrests. Power win-
dows and air conditioning are
standard. Comfort. Quiet luxury.
Suddenly "the Toronado experi-
ence" is a very meaningful phrase.

New kind of full-size wagon.

Beautifully elegant

To be more space-efficient, we
gave it a new size, a 116-inch
wheelbase, a shorter turning
radius. A cleaner, squarer cargo
area. A lockable storage area in
the sidewall, more storage under
the floor, a spare tire extractor.
A 3-way tailgate. And a rede-
signed Rocket 350 V8, standard.

Outside, Vista-Cruiser is a very
elegant wagon. Inside, more of
the same—with deep, thick car-
peting, full-foam seats and high-
quality vinyl upholstery.
It's elegant enough for a night
on the town—in any town ! But
down deep, Vista-Cruiser is a
wagon owner's love. It can handle

To make it a Custom Cruiser, we
gave it comfort, a soft ride, an
uncommon quiet and luxury in-
side. Lots of standard equipment.
Even velour upholstery is avail-
able, for that luxury sedan look.
In fact, you'll find it hard to
remember you're in a wagon, if
you don't look back!

but tough!

most any workday chore that
might pop up—shrubs for the
yard, furniture for the family
room or toting home blue ribbons
from canine contests!
Sound like a winner? You'll
think so—on any workday—and
every elegant evening!
Can we build one for you?
