Libyans Attempt
to Set New Image

UNITED NATIONS
(JTA) — Diplomatic
sources said that Libya
was making strenuous ef-
forts to dissociate itself
from aerial hijacking and
other acts of terrorism as
a result of Israel's recent
accusation that Libya is a
center of international
terrorism.
According to the dip-
lomats, Libyan represen-
tatives have been trying
to convince other dele-
gates that Libya does not
support terrorists. But
Libya's role in the Air Fr-
ance hijack was cited by
Israel during the Sec-
urity Council's debate on
the Entebbe rescue mis-
sion last July.
