NEW YORK—A highly
imaginative game that
was conceived and de-
signed by a 14-year-old
Jewish girl, and which
was smuggled out of the
USSR, is being made av-
ailable nationally by the
Jewish Education Press
(JEP) of the Board of
Jewish Education of Gre-
ater New York, in cooper-
ation with the Greater
New York Conference on
Soviet Jewry.
"Route to Freedom: A
Game of Escape from the
Soviet Union" was
created by Shoshana
Ramm, who, with her
family, traveled the tor-
tuous route from Moscow
to Israel — a journey that
took them three danger-
filled years to complete.
"Route to Freedom"
gives insight into the
travails that beset Jewish
families seeking to leave
the Soviet Union. It in-
cludes a four-color game
route, markers, dice, in-
structions, and
background information
on the Ramm family will
their struggle.
Individuals wishing to
order copies or Who wish
additional information on
quantity orders should
contact Eileen G. Roth,
Associate in Marketing
Services, at the Board of
'Jewish Education of Gre-
ater New York, 426 West
