ment of the Center will
offer classes beginning
Oct. 11. Registration for
these courses will take
place during the same
hours as general regist-
ration on Sunday.

Warren M. Hoyt was
appointed executive di-
rector of the Michigan
Press Association. He
joined the association
five years ago as general
manager of Michigan
Newspapers, Inc., the ad-
vertising arm of the
MPA. He will continue to
oversee management of
MNI.
Prior to joining MPA,
Hoyt was general man-
ager of Sentinel Subur-
ban Newspapers, Inc., a
group of suburban De-
nver weeklies.
He was associated with
Guy Gannett Newspap-
ers, Portland, Maine, in
advertising sales and
spent five years as crea-
tive advertising director
for two dailies and a
statewide Sunday news-
paper.

open auditions for dan-
cers will take place in the
dance studio of the Cent-
er's main building.
Apprentice dancers,
grades 6 through 9, will be
auditioned on Sunday, at
1 p.m. The Ydung Dan-
cers' Guild will audition
dancers in grades 7
through 12 at 2 p.m. on
Sunday.
Adult women are in-
vited to audition for the
Center's Festival Dan-
cers on Thursday, at 10
a.m. Those auditioning
are requested to come
prepared to participate in
a dance class.
The Center will also
hold a Dance Day for
young dancers, grades 4
through 12, Sept. 19, be-
ginning at noon in the
Center's Aaron DeRoy
Studio Theatre. There is a
charge for this event.
