34 Friday, August 20, 1976 THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS St. John to Address Dinner Robert St. John, eminent author and lecturer, whose many published works in- clude the biographies of Abba Eban, Eliezer Ben- Yehuda, David Ben-Gurion and Gamal Abdul Nasser, will be the guest speaker at the dinner meeting of the Michigan branch of Magen David Adorn, the Israel counterpart of the Red Cross. The dinner will honor Mr. and Mrs. Felix Rosenzweig. Dinner chairman is Dr. Morris Starkman. Dr. John Mames, chair- man of the Michigan branch of Magen David, said the Michigan Magen David workers this year are asked especially to support the Blood banks. St. John's topic at the affair will be "What Next in the Middle East?" Prominent as a correspon- dent since World War II, St. John has made an an- nual trip to the Middle East since 1948, and is one of the few journalists welcomed in both Israel and the Arab countries. He is the recipient of Israel's Medallion of Valor, the highest award Israel has ever bestowed on a non-Jew. The Magen David Adorn dinner will be held at Cong. Bnai Moshe.
