Max Jammer, of the De-
partment of Physics at
Bar-Ilan University, has
been elected president of
the Association for the
advancement of Science
in Israel, the coordinat-
ing body for all scientific
groups in Israel.
Prof. Jammer, a former
rector and president of
Bar-Ilan, is an interna-
tional authority on the
foundations of quantum
mechanics and modern
physics.

cantorial concert held in
New Orleans in the past
30 years, given with his
teacher, Cantor Adler, in
March, 1973. His most re-
cent concert in New Or-
leans was performed with
Cantor Louis Klein of
Cong. Bnai Moshe in
May.
