Detroit Pioneer Women Cite
Mildred Weiss for Services

A spiritual adoption cer-
tificate, covering the cost of
maintaining an orphaned
child in Israel for a year,
was awarded to Mildred
Weiss by Pioneer Women.
Mrs. Weiss, who will es-
tablish a residence in Flor-
ida this summer, was hon-
ored for her 30 years of
service in Pioneer Women
locally and nationally.
She is the recipient of the
Shalom Award, given by
the Women's Division of Is-
rael Bonds; was program
chairman of the national
jubilee year convention of
Pioneer Women and heads
its national children's serv-
ices fund raising depart-
ment.
Mrs. Weiss is a past presi-

Anwar el Sadat of Egypt
has called on the oil-rich
Arab nations to increase
their planned support of
Egypt over the next five
years from $2 billion to
$10-12 billion.
Sadat, in a Cairo speech,
thanked the countries that
rescued Egypt's economy
during and after the 1973
Yom Kippur War with $500
million in aid, but said
much more was needed.

man Adler officiated.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Isadore
Elias of Parklawn Ave., Oak
Park. Parents of the bride-
groom are Mrs. Eugene Ro-
sen of Adrian St., South-
field, and the late Mr.
Eugene I. Rosen.
Gloria Elias was her sis-
ter's maid of honor. Michael
Rosen was his brother's best
man.
The couple is residing in
Lansing where Mr. Rosen is
attending law school.
