JERUSALEM (JTA) — About 100,000 immigrants and army veterans partici- pated in activities related to Absorption Month in June, according to a report by the Ministry of Absorption which sponsored the event. About 5,500 immigrants did volunteer work for the army, visited Nahal (para- military) settlements and played host to soldiers in their homes, the ministry said. Another 3,500 immigrants visited kibutzim throughout the country while others attended seminars and re- lated activities aimed at a better understanding of ab- sorption, problems.
