Marseilles' Chief Rabbi has called on the authorities to use all the means at their disposal to track down and arrest those responsible for the assaults. I •t• // Libya Accused; Ford Hails Policy of United States in the Middle East TEL AVIV (JTA) — The Israel Navy has ordered six more of the Reshef type missile boats and Haifa Shipyards which builds them has reported potential buyers abroad. Two Res- hef-type boats, the Yaffo and Tarshish, are presently on a good will visit to the United States in connection with the American Bicen- tennial. Sources said the government was considering extending their cruise to South America where a market for such craft exists. The Israel Navy has six and the new orders will dou- ble their number providing Israel with a substantial naval striking force far from home. The Reshef boats have a cruising range of 4000 miles — four times the range of the older Saar-type boats in the Israel Navy. Each new 180-foot ship will cost an estimated $15 million, the first of which will be delivered in Jan. 1977. They will each carry seven Israel-made "Gabriel" surface-to-surface missiles which have a 22-mile range — twice that of those used in the Yom Kippur War — as well as other sophisti- cated electronic equipment. The Israeli government claims the additional ships are necessary to preserve a naval balance in the eastern Mediterranean in vie‘y of purchases abroad by Arah governments. 11 FOR D $ 1 09 1 1 9 COO K-FARR 399-6600 Give Cheer to the Less Affluent In Israel With HIGH HOLY DAY GIFTS Send Gift Packages to Needy Families through Mizrachi-Hapoel Hamizrachi of Detroit • • • Food packages packed by Supersol of Israel can be sent in amounts of $15 or more Send Your Gift to: MIZRACHI-H4POEL HAMIZRACHI 23125 Coolidge - Oak Park, Mich. 48 237 Phone: 398-7180
