Washington Post Says Israelis Shipping Arms to Lebanon Christians

WASHINGTON (JTA) —
"Lebanon's Maronite Chris-
t tian forces, displaying new
military muscle, are appar-
ently receiving direct but
covert military aid from Is-
rael," the Washington Post
reported Wednesday from
Beirut. The reports were
denied by Israel.

seph Fitchett wrote from
the Lebanese capital that

Aviv to Ramat Gan and Pe-
tah Tikva.
