Women Plan Camp Week for Retarded

Northwest Child Rescue
Women will sponsor their
annual camp program for
retarded and physically
handicapped children July
26-Aug. 2 at the Detroit
Parks and Recreation Camp
in Brighton.
Annette Horwitz, presi-
dent, said that members
have contributed more than
$72,000 for this project since
its inception in 1953.

Chicken Casserole

By NORMA BARACH

(thinly sliced)
1 medium onion, cut in thin rings
4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
pareve margarine
29 oz. jar spaghetti-mush-
room sauce
pinch of oregano (optional)
Brown chicken in margarine
on both sides. Remove from skil-
let. Brown onion, potatoes, and
zucchini, adding more margarine
if necessary. Place browned ve-
getables in a greased 9x13-inch
baking pan. Place chicken, ore-
gano and then spaghetti sauce
on top of the vegetables. Bake
uncovered at 350 degrees for 20
minutes. Then cover and bake
another hour or until tender.
Serves 4.

following a raid on a morn-
ing minyan in a private
home where services have
been conducted since that
city's synagogue was shut
down 15 years ago.
