After research done by Hebrew University social scientists showed that insti- tutionalized children suf- fered emotional and intel- lectual deprivation, the Women's International Zionist Organization Baby Home in Bet Hakerem ceased functioning as such and a new private welfare agency, Bayit L'Kol Yeled, (A Home for Every Child) was founded. The agency is the overall supervisory body for the foster homes and lays stress on preventive care while making efforts to avoid re- moving the babies from their families whenever pos- sible. start training at The G.
