The November resolution of the United Nations whiCh condemned Zionism as a form of racism is now well known. Many well-docu- mented analyses have been published which completely refute this ridiculous harge; by now, any reason- able person should scoff at the United Nations asser- t tion, and recognize it as pure political propaganda. But, propaganda is nearly always based on an idea, and the Arab-sponsored res- lution is no exception, the Arabs theorize that the Zionist movement is racist in nature. This is the concept which they claim to have discov- ered; but really, they have no right to claim such origi- nality. Over 70 years ago, a transplanted Englishman, writing out of Germany, first enunciated the doc- trine that Judaism in gen- eral, and Zionism in partic- ular, is racist in nature. The author's name was Houston Stewart Chamber- lain, and he must rank as one of the most satanic in- fluences on modern Jewish history. Chamberlain was born in England in 1855, but eventually he became a citizen of Germany; he wrote all his books in Ger- man, and became a fervid Germanic nationalist. His major work was a massive two-volume philosophy of history entitled "The Foundations of the Nine- teenth Century (Die Grun- dlagen des Neunzehnten Jahrhunderts." Chamberlain sought to establish a racial theory of history, that all civilizations rose or fell strictly on the basis of their racial make- up. Two races were vital in considering his future of the world' these two "races" were the Teutons and the Jews. Chamberlain defined a Teuton to be any descen- dant of the Celtic, Slavic, or Germanic races; thus, all Northern Europeans could rightfully be called Teutons. Chamberlain contended that Teutonic Europe could be made into a heaven on earth; but first, there were a few real dangers to be dealt with. It was imperative that the Teuton did not weaken himself by racial mixture; moreover, even if the Teu- tonic race was kept pure, Europe would have to guard against any perversion of its institutions and outside in- stitutions by outside influ- ences. Indeed, Chamberlain was seeing an alien people, dom- inate the social, economic, and cultural life of nearly every important European nation. The Jews were this alien people. Although the Jews were a terrible enemy, Cham- Blanchard Boycott Bill Due WASHINGTON — Michi- gan Congressman James Blanchard (D-18th Dist.) has offered an amendment to the package of anti-boy- cott legislation currently pending in the House. Blanchard's Royal Oak office said the legislation is expected to come up for de- bate next week. Payments Problem JERUSALEM (ZINS) — The director of Israel's State Bank, Moshe Zanwer, said Israel's economy made cer- tain technical gains last year, but that the country still is far from having be- gun to solve its pressing eco- nomic problems. He referred to the trade deficit in 1975 of $4.1 billion. Israel's foreign indebted- ness is now $8.2 billion, and it costs the state $500 mil- lion yearly jut to cover the interest. berlain gave them grudg- ing respect. According to him, the Jewish people had long ago discovered the primacy of race; in fact their whole religion was based not on monotheism, but racism. This Jewish racism was manifested by the strict bibical rules against intermarriage. Chamberlain believed that the Jews had con- sciously created a fixed ra- cial group, which was intent on ruling the world. He also discussed the idea of a Jewish homeland; Israel would be the focal point of the Hebrew world empire, and would be a special cen- ter for Jewish inbreeding. The country would be a textbook example of racism. Chamberlain's contortion of the intermarriage prohi- bitions is particularly vi- cious and mendacious. These prohibitions are, and have always been, intended only as measures to prevent a weakening of the religion. This is proven by the fact that any sincere person who wishes to become a Jew is welcome, - regardless of his racial background. The truth eluded Chamberlain, just as it has eluded his Arab successors. Chamberlain's philoso- phy has been extraordi- narily influential on mod- ern Europe. His theories of German racial supremacy Hillel Receives Extra Allocation SPRINGFIELD, (JTA) — The Jewish Feder- ation of this community of 500 Jewish families makes a regular annual allocation for the campus activities of the Bnai Brith Hillel Foun- dations, but this year the Federation added special allocations to Hillel Founda- tions on campuses where children of Federation con- tributors are attending col- lege. Ten students were re- ported attending schools which have Hillel facilities. The federation sent-a.n addi- tional $50 for each student. After Germany's defeat in World War I, Chamber- lain seemed to be turning into a bitter old man; how- ever, in.1923, just four years before his death,,he experi- enced a revealation. In that year he met a young Bavar- ian politician — Adolph Hit- ler. Chamberlain was fasci- nated by Hitler, and pro- nounced him as "the savior of Germany." This was a startling statement for a world famous author to make about an unknown beer hall orator, but Cham- berlain was sure of Hitler's destiny. When the Nazis did gain power, they hailed Cham- berlain as "the spiritual father of the Third Reich."
