Center Has New Crafts Classes

The Jewish Community
Center is taking registration
for two new classes, tapes-
try and weaving and sculp-
tural crochet.
The tapestry class will
meet 7 p.m. Wednesdays at
the new Jewish Center be-

class is open to teens and
adults, and there is a
charge. For information,
call the Center's educational

The four-week sculptural
crochet class will meet 7
p.m. Mondays beginning
July 6 in the new Center.
There is a fee, and partici-
pants are asked to bring a
size I crochet hook or larger,
four ounces of one color of
yarn and scraps of other
colors.
Class size is limited. For

Neil A. Satovsky was
elected president of the Jew-
ish Welfare Federation Jun-
ior Division held last week
at the Jewish Community
Center.
The 1,950-member Divi-
sion which Satovsky will
lead is a year-round organi-
zation offering educational
and social programming for
young adults. It also organ-
izes the annual fund-raising
efforts for the Allied Jewish
Campaign-Israel Emer-
gency Fund within Detroit's
young adult Jewish commu-
nity:
