the late treasurer of Gen-
eral Motors, Meyer Prentis.
The renaming of the
building was announced last
October at the time WSU
President George E. Gullen
Jr. accepted a $500,000 gift
to the university from the

Jerry Acker has an-
nounced his candidacy for
trustee of the West Bloom-
field School Board. He is a
certified public accountant
and a graduate of Wayne
State University.
For the last two years
Acker has been pre-Cam-
paign chairman of the Real
Estate Building Trades Di-
vision of the Allied Jewish
Campaign and a member of
the board of the United
Hebrew Schools.
He also is a member of
the United Jewish Charities
Endowment Fund and a
member of the United Jew-
ish Appeal — Young Lead-
