Din- ner chairman is Henry Thumin, with Nelson Dembs and Menasche Haar as co-chairmen. An attorney since 1930, Klar is a member of the state and federal bar asso- ciations. He assisted with past Bond events at the syn- agogue and is an organizer of the Synagogue Council of Greater Detroit of which he was secretary-treasurer. He also is a member of the Oak- land-Century and Zager- Stone Lodges of Bnai Brith. Meanwhile, on June 22, Cong. Bnai David will honor Ruth Sosin as its "woman of the year" on behalf of Israel Bonds. Mrs. Sosin is active in the synagogue's sisterhood and is chariman of its gift shop. She was vice presi- dent of the Fanny Gluck Chapter of Mizrachi Women and is an active member of Brandeis Chap- ter of Bnai Brith. Mrs. Sosin was a volun- teer in the Sinai Hospital Gift shop, chaired lunch- eons for Infants Service and is a member of Hadassah, Women's American ORT, American Jewish Congress and the Women's Division of the Allied Jewish Cam- paign.
