Herman, has been a mem- ber of Temple Israel for 25 years, will receive a pres- entation from Rabbi Schindler on behalf of the union and college. Mrs. Herman has estab- lished the John R. Herman Fund at Temple Israel as a memorial to her husband. Each year, the fund sends a youngster to Israel for six months of study and brings an Israeli youth to the De- troit area as participants in the Eisendrath Interna- tional Exchange (E-I-E) program of the UAHC.
