Matzkin, president of Hadassah, lashed out "at Jewish personalities who have taken it upon them- selves to publicly criticize certain policies of the state of Israel at this critical junc- ture. Their statements are Carter Re-Affirms Support of Israel WASHINGTON (JTA) — Presidential candidate Jimmy Carter, front runner in the race for the Demo- cratic nomination, has en- dorsed "wholeheartedly" the Zionist Organization of America proposal in sup- port of Israel to be incorpo- rated in the Democratic Party's platform at its nom- inating convention in New York in July. "I am proud, with you, to reaffirm my support for Israel and for its people," Carter wrote in a letter to officials of the ZOA. Meanwhile, Mrs. Harriet Morse Zimmerman, who is active in Jewish organiza- tions with nation-wide memberships and in aiding Israel, has been appointed associate director of the Carter Presidential cam- paign to work on national is- sues of concern to American Jewry. Carter campaign head- quarters in Atlanta an- nounced that Mrs. Zimmer- man, who volunteered to help Carter last week, will serve full time in her posi- tion. In Boston, as Mrs. Har- riet Altschuler, she was full-time coordinator as a volunteer of the Middle East Policy Committee that was set up after the Yom Kippur War. She also was a mem- ber of Boston's Crisis Com- mittee to help Israel at that time. Israel to Display Electronic Goods at U.S. Exhibition TEL AVIV (JTA) — Is- rael's battle-tested com- munications equipment will go on display in the U.S. at the annual electronics and communications exhibit of the Armed Forces Commun- ications and Electronics Association next month un- der the auspices of the U.S. Department of Defense.
