Jerusalem Hospital
Worried About Aid

Detroit
Friends
of
Shaarey Zedek Hospital
have expressed concern that
the Orthodox Jewish facility
in Jerusalem will have to
curtail construction of its
new medical center if Presi-
dent Ford and the U.S. Con-
gress do not resolve their
differences over transitional
quarter foreign aid funding.
According to the -director-
general of the hospital,
Prof. David Maeir, spiraling
inflation and increased de-
fense expenditures have
made it impossible for the
Israeli government to con-
tribute toward construction
costs during the fiscal year
ending April, 1977.

their annual dinner June 30
