The land purchased is on
the northwest corner of 13
Mile and Farmington Rds.
Rabbi Charles H. Rosenz-
veig is directing rabbi of the
project.
According to the commit-
tee, the proposed Memorial
Center will include:
• A prominent and per-
manent display of all
available visual material
pertaining to the Holo-
caust.
• Permanent visible in-
scription on the walls of the
Memorial Center of infor-
mation concerning Jewish
communities destroyed by
the Nazis, dates of their liq-
uidations, population and
other relevant data.
• A pictorial permanent
display of the mass murder

concentration camps and
ghettos built and used by
Nazi Germany for the
"Final solution" of the Jew-
ish existence in Europe.
A committee spokesman
said, "To be visibly re-
minded within the frame-
work of a permanent insti-
tution of what happened to
our people when we were
helpless will enhance our
understanding and rein-
force our commitment to
our Jewish home in Israel
and will give us the determi-
nation to preserve and
promote the vitality and
strength of organized Jew-
ish life everywhere."
The Committee for the
Memorial Center has issued
a community-wide appeal
for support. Write to the
Memorial Center office,
