Detroit Women of Alpha
Omega will have an installa-
tion luncheon noon Tuesday
at Wabeek Country Club.
Past-president, Mrs. Ja-
son Goode will install Mrs.
Harold Firestone as presi-
dent. Also to be installed
will be Mesdames Robert
Share, president-elect; Ar-
nold Golnick, vice president;

Warmer days are upon
us, and even with air-condi-
tioning, one looks for dishes
that avoid "heating up" the
kitchen. I recommend this
top-of-the-stove dish for the
hot days ahead. It is deli-
cious served over noodles or
rice.

2 lbs chuck meat cut. into 2-inch
chunks
3 medium onions, sliced
Y2 lb. fresh mushrooms, whole
4 carrots, cut in rings
1/2 cup malaga wine
1 tbsp. oil.

Brown meat in oil and then
add vegetables to pot and
brown. Add wine and cook over
low heat for about two hours, or
until meat and carrots are tender.
If necessary, add a few table-
spoons of water.

Workshop held at:
Houston/Abramson Associates—Orchard Building

Farmington, Michigan 48024—Phone 313/626-8228

During a recent visit with
the leader of Great Britain's
Conservative Party, Mrs.
Margaret Thatcher, Golda
Meir warned of the "chau-
vinistic men" in politics.
"They used to nickname
me the only man in the Is-
raeli cabinet. How would a
man feel if I thought I com-
plimented him by calling
him the only female in the
cabinet?"
