ing, Rabbi Richard C. Hertz
of Temple Beth El came to
some conclusions about the
U.S.-Israel relationship and
about Israel in general. He
writes:

respected by all Arab states.
That very strength is, like-
wise, America's strongest
ally in preserving a balance
of power vis-a-vis Soviet in-
tentions or in restraining
over-zealous Arab leaders
