Expansion of Programming
at 10 Mile Center Requested

Editor, The Jewish News:
We of the Jewish commu-
nity who live near and wish
to use the 10 Mile branch
of the Jewish Community
Center, feel overlooked in
the realm of planned activi-
ties and gatherings. It is
almost as if we are being
"phased-out."
Admittedly, the new
West Bloomfield facility is
grand and picturesque, but
for some of us, it is more
than a half-hour drive.
Many others have little or
no access to transportation.
The 10 Mile Center is
'le• Ming used to its full
ad. cage. At any time of
,' day, one can see rooms not
being used. With space
available, why aren't there

for a parent to make, re-
garding putting a three-

town. It is also a tremen-

dous expense considering
the cost of the school.
If provision were made
at the branch for one or
two nursery sessions, per-
haps your enrollment
would increase greatly.
There are many who feel
the nursery program
skipped-over this area in
its change from the old
Curtis-Meyers branch to
the new West Bloomfield
location.
Let's put the emphasis on
need and demand back
where it belongs. The sen-
iors are definitely a vital
part of our community, and
so are the families of the

ton Woods, Southfield, and

needs are-neglected now,
then what purpose is the
"Jewish Community Cen-
