JDC Official Heads
Israel Aged Unit

NEW YORK — Dr. Ar-
nulf M. Pins, recently ap-
pointed associate director of
the Joint Distribution Com-
mittee in Israel, has been
elected chairman of "Eshel,"
the nationwide Association
for Planning and Develop-
ment of Services for the
Aged in Israel, it was an-
nounced this week by Ralph
I. Goldman, JDC executive
vice chairman.
"Eshel," has in its first
five years developed a wide
network of community serv-
ices for the aged and is es-
tablishing modern homes
for the aged in various parts
of the country where there
are no such facilities.
"Eshel" is financed by the
JDC and the Israel govern-
ment.

2nd Camp Site

MUKWONAGO, Wis. —
Bnai Brith has completed
negotiations to purchase a
340-acre camp site for a sec-
ond youth camping pro-
gram.
Beber Camp, 27 miles
from Milwaukee, will be a
companion facility to Perl-
man Camp in Pennsylvan-
ia's Pocono Mountains
which has been in operation
since 1954. Both camps are
supervised by the Bnai
Brith Youth Organization.
The new acquisition is
named for Sam Beber of
Chicago, who 52 years ago
founded Bnai Brith's teen-
age youth movement.
The camp will formally
open June 30. Applications
for registration can be sent
to national headquarters of
Bnai Brith Youth Organiza-
tion, 1640 Rhode Island
Ave., N.W., Washington, D.
C. 20036.
