The meeting, presided over by board of governors chairman Max Fisher of Detroit and attended by Yosef Almogi, chairman of the Jewish Agency and World Zionist Organization Executives, continued for more than eight hours Mon- day. Board members from abroad closely questioned agency officials about how estimates of immigration were reached, how income was spent last year and what the priorities would be for spending this year should fund raising fall be- low the expected goals. Sens. Jacob Javits and John Sparkman and Rep. Richard L. Ottinger intro- duced the joint resolution to Congress that this statue, donated by Leon and Ruth Gildesgame of Mt. Kisco, N.Y., be presented as a gift to Israel. The resolution was signed into Public Law by President Gerald Ford.
