Peven, the only living past vice president of the Bereznitzer Aid Society, has informed the Jewish News that the 43-year old organization will probably disband this year. Peven said the last formal meeting was held at the Knights of Pythias Hall in Berkley some five months ago, and a subsequent meet- ing was held in a member's home. Since it was founded in 1933 the group has made many donations to Jewish causes in Detroit, the U.S. and Israel. According to Peven, the proceeds from the sale of its building at Linwood and Davison were donated to Sinai Hos- pital of Detroit, and Sifrei Torah were donated to the Jewish Home for the Aged. Meyer Terebelo is still president of the organiza- tion and his brother Nathan is financial secretary. Ben Weinstock is treasurer, and Mrs. Isaac Cohl, secretary. 28950 Orchard Lake Roads, Between 12 and 13 Mile Roads, Next to the Clock in Farmington Hills 626-7000 626-7007 Best Wishes For A Joyous and Happy Passover ALPORT SCRAP AND SALVAGE CO.
