Festival of Freedom

seder during which parents
inform their children of the
deliverance of the Jews from
Egypt, the Passover holiday
will be celebrated by Jews

the biblical period during
which Angel of Death
passed over the houses of
the children of Israel while
the first-born of Egypt were
slain.

Fee, fie fohjum...

.story telling at
Dickens'Den has joyfully begun.

You're right. It doesn't rhyme.
But the rhymes of the giant who
roared, "I smell the blood of an
Englishman !" were no better. And
we wouldn't dream of trying to
improve on a classic folk tale.
But what we would dream of
doing. — and have been doing for
the past two months, as our open-
ing advertisement promised — is
telling folk and fairy tales and
reading poetry to small groups of
nursery school children.
Would the children of your nur-
sery school enjoy such an ex-
perience? If so, and if you
can limit the group to
about a dozen,

telephone or -stop by and talk to
Frank Martin, Manager of Dick-
ens' Den.
Then one morning soon, your
children will be jouncing along the
road with Jack, "jigglety-jolt, jig-
glety-jolt" as he goes to seek his
fortune ; or pretending to tremble
at the terrible voice of the Troll
challenging : "Who's that tripping
over my bridge ?" ; or smiling to
hear that,
"The Owl and the Pussy Cat
went to sea in a beautiful pea-
green boat . . ."
You won't mind if we have
as much fun as the
kids, will you ?
