The program is the first cooperative effort of the Rabbinical Commission of the Jewish Community Council, the Synagogue Council of Greater Detroit, and the Cantorial Council of Detroit. Rabbi Daniel Jeremy Silver of The Temple, of Cleveland, will speak on "What Lies Ahead: The Jew in America — What Was and What Is Yet To Be." The event is open to the public without charge. Rabbi Milton Rosenbaum of Temple Emanu-El, vice president of the Rabbinical Commission, said the pro- gram is an important first step in cooperative efforts of clergymen and lay leaders in the community.
