A graduate of the Uni- versity of Michigan, Mr. Masserman has been a newspaperman and public relations specialist most of his life. He was on the staff of the Detroit Times for 18 years, holding such posts as telegraph editor and state editor. He also edited The Northwest Record and the Michigan Democrat. After the Times folded, he was public relations direc- tor for the local Israel Bond Organization for 12 years. Mr. Masserman is the co- author of "The Jews Come to America," a publication used in schools and semi- naries in the U.S., England and Australia, He has been active in the Democratic Party and in the Jewish Community Council. He was secretary and vice president of Cong. Beth Aaron and is active at Cong. Beth Achim, where he is the editor of The Beacon.
