Vivian Dinitz Will Address Hadassah Bond Luncheon

Women's Division Spring Forum
to Feature Jewish Life Drama

The Women's-Division of
the Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion will hold its annual
educational Spring Forum
9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. April 6,
at the new Jewish Commu-
nity Center.
"Where Is Today's Jewish
Heart?" is the topic of the
day-long meeting, according
to chairman Roberta Stul-
berg.
The Spring Forum will
begin with a play for Jew-
ish living. The script,
specially written for the
national Institute for Jew-
ish Life, deals with a criti-
cal contemporaty prob-
lem, that of Jewish
commitment and identity.
Those attending Spring
Forum will have a chance to
respond in a general discus-
sion led by Margaret Wei-
ner, MSW, a supervisor at
the Jewish Family Service.
The principal speaker on
the afternoon agenda will be
Rabbi Joel E. Poupko, the
director of the Bnai Brith
Hillel Foundation at the
University of Michigan.
Poupko's topic will be
"Loneliness and Solitude:
This moment in Jewish His-
tory."
Shelly Jackier is co-chair-
man of Spring Forum.
Maida Portnoy, who is sec-
retary for the meeting, is di-
recting the play for Jewish
Living as well.
The Forum committee
consists of Roberta Blitz,
Nanette Carnick, Linda
Tfickier, Janice Cutler,
ancine Gold, Carol
iIooberman, Diane Ko-
morn, Nancy Lash and
Linda Gershenson.

rael's ambassador to the
United States, will speak at
the annual Metropolitan
Chapter of Hadassah-Israel
Bond Luncheon noon April
1 at Cong. Shaarey Zed-ek.
The event will honor Had-
assah's "Woman of the
Year" Blanche Pollack.
Mrs. Dinitz worked as a
research analyst in Wash-
ington and later for the
Department of Health, Edu-
cation and Welfare. While
living in Israel, Mrs. Dinitz
worked in the public rela-
tions office of the United
Jewish Appeal.
At the luncheon, Mrs.
Dinitz will present Mrs.
Pollack, the honoree, with
a special Serigraph Award
on behalf of the State of Is-
rael Bond Organization.
