Some newsmen were prevented by the guards from attending Mrs. Meir's press conference and other media personnel are regularly asked to make a wide detour on en- tering or leaving the r - ing hall. The sharpest icism was leveled at the manner in which Rabbi Kahane was forcibly barred by security men from entering the confer- ence hall earlier in the day. Meanwhile, scientists from eight countries who at- tended the Second World Conference on Soviet Jewry have formed an Interna- tional Federation of Con- cerned Scientists to be lo- cated in Paris. The purpose of the federa- tion will be to gather and disseminate information and to coordinate the activi- ties of its affiliates in all countries where committees on behalf of ostracized So- viet scientists already exist or are in process of forma- tion. The federation will en- courage its affiliates to in- crease their efforts and ac- tivities on behalf of Soviet scientists who are denied fundamental scientific and personal rights.
