Which way cleans better? Which is better for your carpet? The companies
that have steam-extraction equipment say steam is much more thorough and
gentler on your carpet. The people that have shampoo equipment say that
you can t really get a carpet or anything else cleaned without scrubbing
action.
Which ones are telling you the truth? They BOTH are! But they each
push in one direction favoring the type of equipment and system they use.
Chanuca Carpet Care Centre has no quarrel with either the shampooers
or the steam cleaners. We have ALL the necessary equipment and the trained
technicians to clean your carpet either way that YOU prefer. You will like
the reasonable price, too.
Let me make a simple illustration of the difference between the two
methods. If you took a shower and put soap all over your body, but did
not rinse it off; you would feel sticky all day. That would be like shampooing
your carpet with no steam extraction.
If you took a shower by rinsing only (no soap); your friends might not
like the smell that day. That would be like steam-cleaning without
shampooing first.
If you are going to have a completely satisfactory shower you will (A)
use soap (B) scrub and (C) rinse off the soap residue.
If you are going to have a first-class cleaning operation on your rugs,
you will have the same thing done. (A) Use shampoo (B) scrub the carpet
and (C) rinse out the shampoo and dirt residue. (By the way, cleaning at
the right time intervals with proper methods will also make the fiber last
up to 3 times as long.)
1.‘
y ou want the very best care for your carpet, it will cost only about
25% more than either steam or shampooing alone. We will, however, clean
your carpeting with any method you prefer — anti at n oatt }JI ILC.

Here is what we will do for you:
1. Get out all the loose dirt, grit, and lint with a high-powered commercial
vacuum cleaner.
2. Use a small portable scrubbing machine to loosen stains and spots and to
clean edges, corners, and stairways.
3. Apply a mild shampoo solution with rotary brush scrubbing machine
that gently massages the dirt to the top of the carpet.
4. Use the steam-extraction principle with a powerful wet vacuum to
thoroughly flush out all the dirt and shampoo residue. (When this opera-
tion is finished over 92% of the moisture will be out of your carpet.)
5. Reset the pile of the rug in the direction the fiber was designed when
the material was new.
When this process is completed, you will have a beautiful carpet that
will stay cleaner longer than ever before.
