Korey succeeds Herman Edelsberg, who retires March 1 after nine years in that post. Edelsberg contin- ues his affiliation with Bnai Brith as a consultant on for- eign affairs. Korey has headed Bnai Brith's UN office since 1960 and has been a leader in the conference of non-govern- mental representatives whose organizations have consultative status with the world body. He is currently chairman of its human rights committee.
