Teen Lounge Open
at Jewish Center

Teens in grades 10-12 are
invited to participate in the
Jewish Community Center's
teen lounge to he held 7:45
p.m. Saturday at the new
Jewish Center.

hockey and more. Music,

The upcoming BBG-BBW
program entitled "Woman
to Woman" will feature sev-
eral speakers from the
Women's Studies Program,
College of Lifelong Learn-
ing, Wayne State Univer-
sity. Worksho.p leaders in-
clude Marsha Barnett, Judy
Gustafson, Wendy Wagon-
heim, Ann Weitzel and Judy
Kamins. The program will
take place 1 p.m. Feb. 29 at
Temple Emanu-El. There is
a nominal fee. Coordinators
for the program are Mrs.
Tichik and Lisa Garber, so-

BBG council.

League will meet 9 a.m.
Sunday at the Windsor Jew-

Almogi Gives Plans to Increase Aliya

The Great Lakes AZA
Council announces the ap-
pointment of Richard Shei-
ner of Einstein AZA as
chairman for the Elections
Training Conclave (ETC).
The program will take place
May 14-16 at Camp Tamar-
ack.
New BBG chapter presi-
dents are Shari Rosenfeld of
Aliyah BBG and Bethe
Steinbruck of Zangwill
BBG.
The Michigan BBYO
Board of Directors will
hold its next meeting 8 p.m.
Monday in the library-meet-
ing room at the BBYO of-
fice.
Savage BBG is continu-
ing its toy drive for children
at the Sara Fisher Home.
The drive will continue
through Feb. 29. To donate

Manning Sporn AZA has
become the first AZA Chap-
ter in Michigan Region to
qualify for the District 6
Chai Club. The Chai Club
requires a chapter to parti-
cipate in a minimum of 18
hours of community service
in a program year. Sporn
AZA earned its membership
in the club by answering
phones at the Muscular
Dystrophy Telethon, partic-
ipating in the ALSAC Teen
March and JNF Tree Drive,
visiting a home for the aged
and assisting Morgenthau
chapter Bnai Brith Women
with its rummage sale.
Sporn AZA president is
Marc Goldstrom, and the
adviser is Gary Karp.
Kadirnah BBG, Goode
AZA and Yachad BBG of
Windsor have qualified as
members of the TSP.' $100
Club. Membership signifies
a contribution to the BBYO
International Service Fund
of at least $100. The fund is
set up to offer scholarships
to BBYOers attending lead-
ership programs during the
summer at both Camp Bnai
Brith and in Israel.

the World Zionist Organiza-
tion Executive and the act-
ing chairman of the Jewish
Agency Executive, said that
to increase aliya, he sug-
gests the establishment of
"prospects and projects in
Israel" that will encourage
potential olim and facilitate
their absorption into Israeli
life.
